2016, had me starting out as Gemma's mom sharing stories at school for WRAD. This new journey allowed me to share stories with many schools, organisations and complete strangers. Nal'ibali had offered support from day 1. It's 2yrs later, I consider myself a Literacy & Creative Activist who is now known and welcomed into many of the local schools and libraries in my community for what's in my heart. Today, Nal'ibali and I support each other as I have been empowered by my own storytelling and believe I can give as good as I get. If stories had the power to change me, then how much more can it do for a child who needs the love, support and bonding that is part of the relationship between storyteller and listener.

Hey FUNda Leader!

You've been a member of Nal'ibali for a while now or maybe you just joined the movement - whatever the case is, we're glad to have you on board.

This week we're asking, how has Nal'ibali changed your life? Share your before and after story with the rest of the FUNda Leader community.

Eg: Before Nal'ibali I did not understand what it meant to read aloud to a child.

After Nal'ibali I know have the skills and techniques to do storytelling in a fun way with children.
